Middleby Corporation has promoted Andrew Romaine as the new ventless cooking solutions sales and culinary development manager.
In this new position, Romaine will support the sales efforts and help drive new business development across the ventless brand portfolio. He will focus on the emerging Ghost / Virtual kitchen segment and the rapidly growing Senior Living culinary solutions category, capitalizing on his experience working at Brookdale Senior Living. Romaine will report directly to Scott Heim, President of ventless cooking solutions.
Romaine spent the past three years as the Southeast Regional chef for TurboChef Technologies. This assignment required him to work closely with the independent Reps and solidify the relationships with large accounts. Romaine earned his Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University (Charleston campus) and began his career in the trenches of the hospitality industry. From oyster shucker, to line cook to executive chef, he built his career by pursuing a variety of foodservice experiences. He absorbed the various nuances and tactics that are required to operate a successful kitchen and plans to leverage this skill set with the extended team working on ventless cooking solutions. He resides in St. Augustine, Florida and loves the simplicity of southern fare.
