Middleby Hosts
Young Presidents Organization (YPO) On September 24, 2002, Middleby hosted the Windy City Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization, or YPO, at its Elgin, IL manufacturing facility. A joint presentation was held in cooperation with Domino's Pizza, Inc. Middleby's CEO, Selim Bassoul, presented information on Middleby's rise to become the largest commercial cooking equipment manufacturer worldwide. Mr. Bassoul highlighted his presentation with several key business indicators, usable by any company, that made the presentation informative and relevant for the audience. David Brandon, CEO of Domino's Pizza, presented information on his company's changes that have led to increased sales and profits. Again, Mr. Brandon connected the recent success of his company - one of the world's largest pizza chains - with practices and ideals that are applicable to any business. Both companies highlighted their recent awards and recognitions. The Young Presidents Organization is an international group of younger Presidents, CEOs and CFOs of many corporations, that gather on a regular basis for information, support, and education. The event hosted by Middleby is the first of the season for the Windy City Chapter.
